Sex Watch : Oyonnax Preview

Well, It’s been a week and Sex Watch is back, last weekend saw Racing Metro come up against big spending European Champions Toulon at the Stade Mayol in Toulon.

World Cup of Clubs?

Posted by Colm on August 27, 2013

It is being reported in France that Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal has made his wish a reality by arranging a February 2nd meeting between his European Champions and Super Rugby Champions the Wakaito Chiefs.

Despite ERC president Jean-Pierre Lux stating earlier this month :

“Under the terms of the European Rugby Cup participation agreement that they signed before the competition, the clubs do not have the right to play such a game as European champions especially against the winners of the Super 15, it is stated in the agreement. I totally understand that he wanted to do something, but Mr Boudjellal does not have the latitude to organise such a game. It’s a good idea”

Although I personally think the game is a great idea and would make a fantastic advertisement for the game, the proposed date of February 2nd clashes with the first round of the Six Nations. The same idea has been done in other sports, for instance in Rugby League and Football. Is it time for Union to step up to the plate?

Let us know what you think about the prospect of Leinster or any European team taking on the might of the Super Rugby Champions in the future.
