Glasgow V Leinster Preview

Posted by Niall on September 20, 2013

Leinster travel to Scotland tonight to face Glasgow in what could be their toughest away trip of the year. Both sides remain unbeaten this year with the two being tipped to be potential champions come May. Glasgow have yet to lose a game at Scotstoun this year with French side Castres the last to do so in December.

Matt O’Connor has made three changes to his side that drew with the Ospreys last week. Isaac Boss gets the nod over Eoin Redden at scrum-half with Tom Denton also being preferred over Devin Toner. His third and final change was the only forced one Read more

Rabo Pro 12 : Round 3 Preview

Match Day three of the Pro12 sees some exciting encounters. With three of last weeks games being decided in the final ten minutes the Rabo Pro12 has already served up some heart-stopping moments and hopefully this week gives us a few more.

Dragons Crest     -V-     Scarlets Crest

Friday 20th September, Rodney Parade, Kick Off: 7.15pm

A great start to the weekend with the first derby of the campaign coming from Rodney Parade when two Welsh sides meet for the first time this year. Both sides have won one and lost one in this years Pro12 and both will probably be happy with their form.

History shines on the Scarlets in this fixture having won the last ten meetings between the sides. However the Dragons will be brimming with confidence having seen off last year’s finalist Ulster at Rodney Parade earlier in the campaign.

Cardiff Crest     -V-     Zebre Cresty

Friday 20th September, Arms Park, Kick Off: 7.30pm

Cardiff have started brightly this season with young out-half Rhys Patchell Read more

Connacht Crest                    V                 Zebre Cresty

Saturday 7th September, The Sportsground, Kick Off : 5.00pm

Referee: Rhys Thomas (WRU)
Assistant Referees: Hagan-O’Connell, D O’Flynn (both IRFU)
Citing Commissioner: Eddie Walsh (IRFU)

Connacht will look to avoid being Zebre’s first ever scalp in the RaboDirect PRO12 when the two sides meet tomorrow evening. Connacht were only 4 and 5 points better than Zebre in last years meeting and new boss Pat Lam know the Italian side will be tough opponents. Zebre face a turnaround this year with five debuting in their starting fifteen the most noticeable being former All Black scrum-half Brendon Leonard. Although a new look side, the sportsground is difficult place to go to get a victory, expect Zebre to win a game this year, but not this one. DTL verdict : Connacht Win

CONNACHT TEAM TO FACE ZEBRE : 15. Robbie Henshaw, 14. Fionn Carr, 13. Danie Poolman, 12. Eoin Griffin, 11. Matt Healy, 10. Dan Parks, 9. Read more
